PAC Tournament Protocol 

Effective June 15th, 2020 Texas Governor Abbott has allowed for Youth Sports to continue with the guidance of the CDC, Texas, and Local Governments during the existing COVID-19 threat.

Our main focus at the PAC is to provide the safest environment for your teams and spectators with a focus on the health of our community. 

Below are procedures that will be implemented at the PAC Tournaments to provide this environment.

HOW DO YOU SIGN UP FOR A PAC SELECT TOURNAMENT?

  • Click on the name of each tournament in the table below to register for that specific event.
  • You must register for each tournament separately.
  • If you plan on enrolling in multiple tournaments or multiple teams contact Benishe Roberts at benishe@pac-tx.com to receive discounts.

WHEN ARE PAYMENTS DUE FOR TOURNAMENT TEAMS?

  • Payments will be auto-charged by Tuesday at 12 noon the week of a given tournament. 
  • We will not place a team on the final schedule unless they are paid in full. 

WHERE ARE PAC SELECT TOURNAMENTS HELD?

  • All games are played under 1 roof at The PAC. Overflow played at comparable gymnasiums.

SPECTATORS PROCEDURES:

Please see the PAC Facility’s new enhanced health and safety protocols, as well as the Order from the Governor below:

  • All spectators, coaches, and teams will have their temperature taken at entry and re-entry of the PAC Facility.
  • Equipment will be sanitized after each use, and at a minimum every 30 minutes.
  • Players and spectators sneezing/coughing will be closely monitored and will be asked to leave if exhibiting symptoms.
  • All Spectators are required to wear masks over their nose and mouth while attending PAC Tournaments, adhering to the PAC facility protocol.
  • Spectators and teams will leave the hardwood court area after each game.  
  • All Spectators will be required to practice effective Social Distancing of 6 feet if possible.

TEAM PROCEDURES:

  • Score Table workers will be require to wear a face mask.
  • Teams are responsible for clearing their bench at the end of their game. Benches will be disinfected between games. 
  •  Basketballs will also be disinfected before each game and at half time of each game.
  • There will be no ball-handling in the lobby area.
  • Teams and coaches must wear masks when they are not participating in a game.
  • Coaches, players, and referees do not have to wear a mask while the team is playing.
  • Shaking hands and fist bumps between players after the conclusion of each game will not be permitted. 

PAC SANITATION:

  • The PAC staff will be disinfecting common places of gathering throughout the event including the front gate and other places of traffic. 
  • Hand Sanitizer, soap and water, and other disinfectants will be readily available at all facilities. 

The PAC Facility will have a clear Entrance and Exit established to minimize contact and protect social distancing. 

Due to COVID-19, additional procedures and regulations may we required as events approach. We will continue to align ourselves with CDC  guidelines to ensure a safe and healthy experience. The basketball community is a family and together we can give the players a safe and healthy environment when on the court.

Protocol is subject to change as we continue to provide a safe environment. We understand this is a cautious time and many of us have concerns. As such, we want to make sure we have an abundance of safety protocols in place to protect our patrons of the PAC facility.

What can you expect from our PAC Select Tournaments?

  • On-time scheduling
  • Schedule requests need to be made via an email to the tournament director, or they may not be granted.  It is at the director’s discretion to grant a request.

When are PAC Select Tournaments held?

  • Tournaments are held year-round

When is the PAC Tournament schedule released?

  • Tournament schedules are released by 10 pm the Wednesday before each tournament.
  • Schedules are posted online on this page and emailed out to the contact person who registered each team.
  • It is that person’s responsibility to pass on the schedule to their teams.
  • Please do not contact us before this deadline unless you are making a special request as we will not be able to produce a schedule before the 10 pm Wednesday Deadline.
  • In the case of schedule changes, we will email to our distribution list for the tournament.  It is that person’s responsibility to pass updates on to their teams.
  • The most recent schedule is also updated online whenever we make a change for those who want to check the night before the tournament starts.

When are payments due for tournament teams?

  • Payments will be auto-charged by Tuesday at 12 noon the week of a given tournament. We charge ahead of time before compiling the final schedule to minimize the chance at no-shows.
  • We will not place a team on the final schedule unless they are paid in full.

 Where are PAC Select Tournaments held?

  • All games are played under 1 roof at The PAC. Overflow played at surrounding area gymnasiums.
  • For our larger tournaments, we will partner with area schools and gyms to have a multi-site tournament.

How do you sign up for a PAC Select Tournament?

  • Click on the name of each tournament in the table above to register for that specific event.
    • You must register for each tournament separately.
    • If you plan on enrolling in multiple tournaments, contact Benishe Roberts ahead of time, for further instructions and potential discounts.
  • Discount Process
    • Multi tournament:  Register for 2 or more tournaments at one time and receive $15 off each tournament you register for.
    • Multi-Team: Register 2 or more teams and receive $15 off each team’s registration for that tournament.
